What is the future of software engineers in the Indian IT industry?

                                            

I personally see good future for Indian IT industry , but under one condition . Software professionals need to learn and evolve. If some one is thinking that just by knowing some part of Java and some support and maintenance our IT industry can survive , he is wrong

Most of the IT development in India happens related to book keeping , and their support . Like software for Banking and Financial Institutions, automation of office process, creation of portals and more recently software development related to mobility .

Now future development will be related to IoT and Artificial Intelligence and machine learning. For sustaining good growth in IT industry , the companies should start training and development in these field starting now. Once a proper specification and platform is created in IoT , I think softwre Industry will once again grow in double digit.

By 2018 India is supposed to have 5.2 million software professionals . Which country can compete with us on these number? Any company which is serious about software development cannot ignore India

Since the number of professional available is huge ,its natural for companies to set development centers here . Also the IT infrastructure of India is decent .So there is huge potential for the Industry .

But there are some issues which we need to wait and see . First one is will the salary of the software professionals increase exponentially ?

Second one is will the people learn and evolve fast enough to embrace new technology

                                      

BUT little bad for who done their software engineering about 5 years ago because lack of skills like..ANDROID development and many more their

For example, who  started out as a plain Java developer many years back. Today, they  don't know Android / iOS development, Big Data etc. simply because many of these things did not even exist when I started out. Similarly, engineers who started out say, 3-4 years back will find it tough to develop apps which are compliant with IoT (Internet of Things) a few years later. They'll be clueless about AI and data-gathering apps
